In October 2012 the first joint Conference between the HCI community of Mexico and the HCI community of Spain will be organized. The Mexican Conference on Human-Computer Interaction MexIHC-2012 will be held in the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), México, D.F. and the International Conference Interacción 2012 will be held in the Miguel Hernandez University of Elche (Spain).
Both conferences will be celebrated jointly, keeping their own identities, to join forces and establish partnerships between the two communities of Mexico and Spain. During the conference, different scientific and technical activities will be conducted: paper presentations, posters, technical papers, and also tutorials and workshops. Opening and closing plenary speakers for both Conferences (Interaccion 2012 and MexIHC-2012) will be broadcasted by videoconference.
About MexIHC-2012
The purpose of this Conference is to invite researchers, professors, students, and practitioners in the field of Human-Computer Interaction and Interactive Systems Usability, in order to support an exchange of scientific results, their application in industry and experiences for their applications on: evaluation, interface design, industry, education, video games, mobile devices, interactive applications, etc.
MexIHC-2012 will be organized by professors-researchers from the HCI community in Mexico attached to Mexican institutions of higher education as: Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Cuajimalpa (UAM-C), Centro de Investigación Científica y de Educación Superior de Ensenada Baja California (CICESE), Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora (ITSON) and Universidad Tecnológica de la Mixteca (UTM).
About Interacción 2012
Interacción 2012 is the 13th edition of the International Conference promoted by the Spanish Asociación para la Interacción Persona-Ordenador (AIPO), whose main objective is to promote and disseminate the recent advances in the field of Human-Computer Interaction. This conference will provide a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas on design and application of techniques and methodologies with a multidisciplinary approach.
The 13th International Conference Interacción 2012 will be organized by the research groups WEBDECISION and HCI&PR from the Center of Operations Research University Institute of the Miguel Hernandez University of Elche, and will have the support of the research group ISE Research Group from the Albacete Research Institute of Informatics of the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
